Rhonda Nay is Emeritus Professor at La Trobe University. Prior to her retirement she was Professor of Interdisciplinary Aged Care and Director of: the Australian Institute for Primary Care and Ageing, Australian Centre for Evidence Based Aged Care, Vic and Tas Dementia Training Studies Centre and The Institute for Social Participation. She led the Victorian Hub of the Consumer Participation Dementia Research Centre and served on numerous government and professional committees and was a member of the Aged Care Accreditation Agency Board, the Federal Minister’s Advisory Committee on Ageing and the Minister’s Dementia Advisory Committee.. Rhonda worked closely with Alzheimer’s Australia (now Dementia Australia) and other organisations advocating for improved care of older people. She served variously as Head of Nursing, Dean of the Faculty of Education, health and professional Studies and Director of the Centre for Initiatives in Health at the University of New England and was appointed Foundation Chair of Gerontic Nursing at La Trobe University, where she was also Director of the Gerontic Nursing Clinical Schools based at Melbourne Sab-acute facilities. She was also Head of Nursing at La Trobe University for 3 years. Rhonda has an extensive list of publications, conference papers and workshops. She developed and taught courses from certificate to PhD and supervised 27 Doctoral students to successful completion. Her major research interests are in care/human rights of older people – especially PLWD – and more specifically: person centred care; sexual rights; pain; family staff relationships; end of life care and workforce issues. In 2021/22 Rhonda served as Interim Chair and Professor of Nursing at Southern Cross University for a period of 6 months,
